I think I'm getting old.

March 16th, 2016

My parents, and one photobombing niece.

My parents have returned to Omaha, safe and sound. They bugged out yesterday morning along with me, as I wound my way through the highways and byways of Ohio to get from Yellow Springs to work. While I simply had to turn off of the Interstate and head in to another day of work, suffering from Daylight Stealing Time all the while, they had to drive twelve more hours.

But yeah, all is good. We had a nice, quiet weekend while they visited, the near-constant rain sort of putting a damper on the things we were going to do outside, but I can't complain about how things went overall. I just hope that I didn't bore my parents to death, since we didn't have a whole lot to do other than watch television. Well, we went to a flea market on Saturday, but still.

Now that they're back home, though, it looks like I'll have a few peaceful days to adjust to the current settings on the clock. Especially peaceful, in fact, in that it would appear that I won't be able to put in much overtime this week. The powers that be want me to ship something out by the end of the month, but they didn't bother to buy some of the essentials I need to build it in the first place.

So, unless they sort out this problem in a jiffy, I guess I'll have a lot of Denny time. And of course Denny and Brenda time, too, when she's not stuck working at the family business. Maybe I'll actually resolve my exhaustion before it ascends into a psychotic break from a lack of sleep, as well. That'd be nice. I find the older I get, the harder it is for me to handle not sleeping enough.

And get off my lawn, kid, you bother me.
